Before the cold weather comes, we still have a few sunny days left. I am trying to squeeze in as many outdoor activities as possible, as I am sure you are, too. Although it might not cross your mind, washing your own car can be a fun activity to add to that list. Not only does it provide exercise, and a clean vehicle but it also saves you money in the long run!
You will first need a hose attached to some sort of water supply, and it is best to have a spray nozzle on it to control water pressure. Typically there is a spot along the outside of your house that will have a faucet you can screw your hose into for water. Now that you have got that under control, you need car wash supplies.
You will need a sponge of some sort. The best kind to use is large, to cover the big surface area of the car. You can use a natural sea sponge or a synthetic sponge, the choice is yours! A sturdy bucket is the next of the car wash supplies. You can use any sort of bucket, provided that it holds at least a couple of gallons of water. A bucket and sponge would be no good, however, without some car wash soap!
Using specially formulated car wash soap is important. House hold dish soap might harm the finish of your car, so it is best to stick with the real thing. Now that you have all of the car wash supplies you need for a basic wash you can begin.
If you like to go the extra mile making your car look professionally done, there are a couple more things you might want to buy. To make sure that your car does not streak when it is drying, you can purchase a chamois cloth to dry it off. After the car is dry, you can also wax it with special car wax to give it a luster that can not be beat. Just about all of these supplies can be purchased at your local grocery or specialty shop. Although the initial cost of buying these items might seem more than the price of a car wash, you can use them again and again, saving you quite a bit of money in the long run. Do it yourself car washing is an all around win, and between the sun and exercise, you will be cruising around your spotless hot rod with a smile!

THank You.
Gone are the days when such polishing was only restricted to the large car dealers. The modern technology has made it possible to produce car wax in greater numbers. Such is the production numbers that it is now found everywhere from corner grocery store to large shopping malls. Over production has lead to much low quality car wax. Be cautious and avoid buying the cheap stuff.
