Washing and waxing your car regularly will help keep it looking new and fresh. Your goal should be to try and wash your car at least once per month and apply car polish once every three to four months. Washing your car will prevent build up of everything that you don’t want- bugs, salt build up, etc. Car polish or wax makes your car look shiny and protects it from fading.
Usually, I like to wash my car about once per week. I use change from my car compartments when I stop at the self-serve car wash on my way home. Most of the time, I like to wash the car once per week and wax it on Valentine’s Day, Memorial Day, and Labor Day. It keeps my car looking fresh and clean and helps prevent corrosion.
Waxing a car is actually pretty simple. Car polish or wax is actually just a thin, transparent layer over the paint. The car polish protects the paint job from the elements and masks minor flaws such as scratches. Car polish also seals the paint, making it less susceptible to corrosion. You should always begin waxing just after washing and drying your car.
Dry the car off, then apply the car polish one small section at a time to the exterior. I would suggest testing your car polish on a small, non-visible section to make sure that it won’t have adverse effects on the finish. I like to start at the top of the car and work down because there is a better chance of dirt being left on the bottom of the car. If you make that your last section, you won’t rub dirt all over the entire car-it will be concentrated to that one area.
Once you have completed the application process, buff your car to a nice shine using a soft, clean towel. I like to buy a towel specifically for this process, but anything you have on hand that is clean and soft will work just fine.
These are some basic instructions that will help you to keep your car just as shiny and beautiful as the day you brought it home. Keeping your car doesn’t take long, and can be fun!

After having closed the car windows wash your car with clean water with the use of a water hose. Then wipe your car dry with the help of a dry cloth and if your car has a lot of dirt or soiled portions then you should do the process twice. Then use another dry cotton piece to wipe it. Choose the most suitable car wax for your car from the auto shop and then apply it on a very clean cloth and buff it all over the vehicle. Take yet another clean cloth and gently wipe the car wax on the vehicle to give that glossy finish.
Great info at this blog.
This is a place I will bookmark.
The use of car polish has been synonymous with the advent of the car technology, itself. Due to the mass commercialization and the popularity of car polish, it is readily available in stores. It will not be an oversimplification to suggest that the car polish is a variant of sand. The only major difference is that it is an abrasive substance that sticks to the outer frame and makes it shiny. Due to oxidization, certain car colors are prone to get rusty quickly.
(Do not panic if you see such areas after you wash your car, as some car wax can often remedy the situation. ) If you are washing your car at home, make sure you use non abrasive cleaning mitts and a car safe detergent. Regular old dish detergent is usually not recommended. If you put your dirty wash cloth into the soapy water, it will put all that grime back in the soap. Rinse your dirty cloth before you put it in the soapy water.
Very cool. I liked reading this post.
