Wax is the primary material to prevent the oxidation of the paint of an automobile. Car wax does not prevent from bird droppings or heavy objects falling which would still scratch the card, the only purpose of this protective layer is to protect from oxidation. For a natural shine and protection from the harsh environment there is nothing better than using car wax.

Car wax forms a thin transparent layer over the cars exterior paint thus forming a primary protection against any harm caused to the automobile. Though car wax does not provide complete protection from scratches in any it does make them less visible which is very beneficial. The car wax also seals the paint so there is not contact of water with the paint which could lead to corrosion. Car wax has to be reapplied regularly and is not permanent. A good quality car wax generally stays on for around 3 to 4 months thus reapplication of car wax every 3 months would be optimum.

Before a car is waxed it is preferred to get it buffered with an electric buffer to remove minor scratches and nay irregularity in the paint, after buffering only it is advisable to wax the car which should be repeated every three months. The requirements to wax your car, is a good quality wax, a clean towel and a small sponge. Also your car needs to be clean and dry before you start waxing it. It is advisable to ensure you buy a non abrasive car wax so your car does not get damaged in any way Read the directions clearly given on the package and first test it on a small area.

While using liquid car wax, first shake the bottle well, and put small amount of the wax on the sponge to apply evenly on the car. While waxing follow a top t bottom approach as it generally considered that the bottom panel of the car are the most dirty. it is preferable to make a thin and even layer all over the car and thick layers should be avoided as due to that the shine is lost. Waxing any other part other than the painted metal part is not a good idea as it will leave a white mark all over the rubber or glass parts.

After letting the car wax be for a minute or two, buff it with a cloth which will give it a nice natural shine. Waxing the car is considered very beneficial in the long run as it helps in reducing scratches and gives the car a nice shiny lustre.

Using car polish or wax protects the paint from fading and makes your car look shiny.

Usually, I like to wash my car about once per week. I use change from my car compartments when I stop at the self-serve car wash on my way home. During most weeks, I like to wash the car at some point and I usually apply car polish on Memorial Day, Labor Day, and Valentine’s Day. It keeps my car looking fresh and clean and helps prevent corrosion.

Waxing a car is a relatively simple process. Car polish, or wax, is applied as a thin, transparent layer over the paint.

It helps you appear shinier and put together, but is not a requirement. Quite the contrary. Using car wax is more like using sun protection or eating a balanced diet. It provides protection for the painted surfaces of the car and prevents fading in those areas. Your car will perform better and last longer, if you have a routine of washing, waxing and keeping up with service and repairs.

This is because in order to survive the stiff competition, they must make sure that their customers will come back and will not find better services elsewhere. Some of the improvements are in the form of new services, latest equipment, well designed lay outs and surveillance and security enhancements.

For instance, in the form of surveillance and security, in the past car wash services only have equipment for night time services. Today, even for daytime operations, managers and operators have installed the latest surveillance and security equipment in their stations. They have learned that these additional security equipments, such as surveillance cameras, pay well in the long run.

How long do you want each application of car wax to last, and how much time are you willing to invest in waxing? In a Consumer Reports comparison test, liquid waxes lasted the longest and cleaned the best. They also took the most time and effort to apply well, largely because spreading them evenly and rubbing out the streaks took considerable extra buffing. Spray on waxes were the fastest to apply, but they lasted the least amount of time and were the least effective at cleaning. Consumer Reports recommended them mainly for new cars whose finishes were in excellent condition, for owners who were willing to wax frequently, and for stopgap treatments in between treatments with liquid or paste wax. Paste waxes were similar to liquid waxes in durability and ease of application.

If your car has a lot of visible plastic, make sure the wax you choose is compatible with plastic.

How durable do you want the car wax to be, and how long are you willing to spend in applying it? Consumer Reports performed a comparison test and found that liquid waxes were the most durable and the best at cleaning. They also took the longest to apply, mainly because of all the extra buffing needed to spread the wax evenly and reduce streaking. Spray on waxes were the least durable and did the worst job at cleaning, but they were also the quickest and easiest to apply. Consumer Reports recommended them mainly for new cars whose finishes were in excellent condition, for owners who were willing to wax frequently, and for stopgap treatments in between treatments with liquid or paste wax.

There are so many different kinds of car wax out there and they all are dependent upon how you apply them and when. According to “Consumer Reports,” many of the less expensive types were just as good as the expensive ones.

Wash and dry your car before you begin to put on any car wax. Take a glance at the surface and make sure there is not any remaining grit. If you start waxing over the grit, it could scratch your car.

Also, never polish the car in a cold or humid environment. Before polishing, park your vehicle in a shade.

Start by applying the polish in circular motions all over the car body. Make sure that the wax doesn’t stick in the crevices along the doors and trunk. Always use a cotton cloth to remove the paint.

Secondly, after using it, dust pollution and environmental dust can be avoided. Thirdly, car wax can also help in controlling the moisture contact to car. In addition, after using it you will realize that your car will look more fantastic. Therefore, for getting all of the benefits of it, good quality car wax should be preferred.

People avoid it because they argue that it is dangerous for the body of the car.

On a bit of a side note, washing your car regularly is also very important. Actually, car washing is just as important as waxing, especially if you live in an area where the roads are treated with salt in the winter. I like to add washing my car to my weekly routine. I use quarters that I get back from going through drive up windows to wash the car each week. It only costs me about two dollars and five minutes of my time, but will add a lot of life to my car.

Some vehicle owners love to polish their vehicles with car wax and enjoy freeing the surface from imperfections and giving a vehicle a new shiny look. Earlier there was a considerable difference in a car wax and polish. Polish is used for cleaning purposes basically and on the other hand car wax takes care of the oxidation of the vehile metallic parts. But now days new ambivalent chemicals have arrived that can fulfill the above purpose on single application. Car wax ameliorates the gloss and depth of the painted surface which now appears to shine more and the new layer of wax gives more protection to the surface.

The choice is yours whether to use a synthetic or natural sea sponge for the job. A sturdy bucket is the next of the car wash supplies. You can use any sort of bucket, provided that it holds at least a couple of gallons of water. A bucket and sponge would be no good, however, without some car wash soap!

There are many different types of car wash soap that you can buy, but make sure that the kind you pick is specially formulated for washing your vehicle. It is best to stick with the real thing, since house hold soaps could ruin the finish on your car.
